Course Objectives

Do you find yourself (your agency) in conflict or potential conflict with your community? Have the words; de-fund, reform, trust, and the possible disbanding of your agency become part of your community conversation? Today’s Communities demand greater trust and transparency of their police along with better crime control enforcement. How does a policing agency with limited manpower, and funding strive to effectively address these community expectations?

This course is designed to provide the participant with proven tactical crime control strategies to impact crime, and the methods to build greater citizen trust and engagement. The participant will engage in thought provoking crime control concepts, strategies, theories, and effective citizen engagement practices. Through virtual learning activities; work groups, instructor feedback, power point, media presentations, and a comprehensive problem-solving exercise. At the end of this two-day virtual course, each participant will gain a deeper working knowledge of effective policing strategies that can be easily and quickly implemented without additional funding and manpower.

The course is designed for anyone who works in the law enforcement profession.
